This course thoroughly prepares students the opportunity to the learn the fundamentals of their role, to include- reviewing insurance records, and translating diagnosis of patients into medical codes for private offices, hospitals or insurance companies. Computerized Billing knowledge, copays card specifics, claims processing, EOBs and the various support platforms that will enable you to do your job. Training will include hands-on learning reinforcement activities on a simulated playground, to practice aspects of clinical documentation and the office workflow. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared to take the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) national certification exam offered by the National HealthCare Association (NHA). The exam and Study/Prep materials are included in your tuition.
Student will also have the opportunity to Job shadow with a medical billing expert and given one-week to study and prepare before taking the Certification exam as a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist.
